# Extract images from pdf

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a flow that would allow me to:

- Read pdf information
- extract data
- format data
- Create a new airtable record with the data found

It’s pretty straightforward for all text data, but I was wondering if anyone knows a way to add images in this flow? We currently use smallpdf to extract images but that would a manual step. Ideally, a subflow would be able to extract images, maybe format them in a specific way, and upload them when creating the airtable record.

Any idea?

Hey @kofal - Just to confirm you’re talking about extracting images from the PDF correct? That is currently not possible but you could create a custom node for this that uses smallpdf: [https://blog.gumloop.com/gumloop-custom-nodes/](https://blog.gumloop.com/gumloop-custom-nodes/)
