When you try to add Notion as a source for the brain, There’s no way to view Databases or Teamspaces; it just lists a ton of documents at random, and searching only presents what’s in the original fetch, nothing beyond that. Is there a different way to choose specific databases or teamspaces instead of random pages?
Hey @mweisberg, good question! This is a Notion API constraint, not a Gumloop limit.
The picker is fed by Notion’s search API, which only returns individual pages and databases, Notion has no “teamspace” you can select programmatically. The list looks random because it’s sorted by most-recently-edited and shows everything currently shared with the Gumloop connection.
Two things:
-
Databases are selectable, any database shared with the connection shows up in this list as its own item, so you can pick one directly. If it’s not there, it hasn’t been shared with the connection yet. In that case you’d need to add the Gumloop app to that Notion Database.
-
To control what appears, manage it on the Notion side: open the database (or the teamspace’s top page) → ••• → Connections → add the Gumloop connection, and remove it from anything you don’t want. The picker then only shows what you’ve shared.
