Issues getting AI web research and Search Companies schemas to match

Hi,
Can someone help me - this seems like a simple issue but I can’t seem to get it working. I can’t get the schema for the outputs from the search companies node, to work as inputs for the AI web research node. Both nodes auto-generate the variables and I can’t edit them so they match.
Specifically it seems to be the company names output from the search companies, and the company_names input for the AI web research node.
Any ideas on how to help?

Thanks in advance!

Hey the inputs / outputs match perfectly fine here actually. The issue is that the “Search Companies” node is not actually outputting anything, because it can’t find anything fitting that criteria. You can verify this by clicking “View Inputs / Outputs”

I would recommend just running the “Search Companies” node in isolation until you actually get results, and then hookup the rest of the flow

Thanks for that - super helpful, I wasn’t checking that.
My next question then is why can’t it? I’ve reduced the inputs to just giving 2 results when searching for companies in Australia with 1-200 people. It’s still not returning anything - why would that be?

Likely due to the “Industry” keyword. Just searching “SaaS” can’t find anything, the inputs for the node need to be a little more specific than that.

If you want vague inputs, I would use another “AI Web Research” node to get the companies

Ah okay - I had vague inputs as I thought the specificity was constraining the results; will try that next. Thanks @rahul-gumloop
