Connecting Claude MCP to Gumloop

Can you still connect Claude to Gumloop to use MCP? I saw in the blog post it said you could but I noticed there’s only set up instructions for Cursor.

Hey @Jamesp! If you’re reporting an issue with a flow or an error in a run, please include the run link and make sure it’s shareable so we can take a look.

  1. Find your run link on the history page. Format: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?run_id={{your_run_id}}&workbook_id={{workbook_id}}

  2. Make it shareable by clicking “Share” → ‘Anyone with the link can view’ in the top-left corner of the flow screen.

  3. Provide details about the issue—more context helps us troubleshoot faster.

You can find your run history here: https://www.gumloop.com/history

Hey @Jamesp – Yes, you should be able to do that. The setup is similar to Cursor, can you share where you’re getting stuck?

I’ve had a few issues. With Google products I can’t seem to get a credential, it just keeps asking to reauthenticate so I dont have a url to set up.

With cal.com I get the credential and everything and set it up. Then when i try to use it within Claude I get a message saying theres an authentication issue.

Hey @Jamesp – Apologies for the late response here. We had to make changes to guMCP from the original MCP protocol by adding optimizations tailored to the gumloop platform to support MCP workflows. However, the MCP client provider, such as Cursor, requires strict adherence to the original protocol. As a result, we can no longer support it in Cursor.

We will be updating our website soon to reflect the removal of Cursor. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
