Interface bug is crashing whole flow

I’m at the 99% finish line of a flow that will unlock a cool use case for my client (large old school custom merchandising company), but Gumloop is throwing an error that is out of my control

I originally added an interface which I configured, but then decided to change the trigger to be an email activation, and I removed the interface from the canvas. But now every time I load the flow, it throws an error that says cannot load interface. There is a button at the top left that says edit interface, but there’s no interface on the canvas so there is nothing to edit. I’ve tried duplicating the whole flow to no avail.

As a result now the flow failed on the first step every time. It sees a new email come in which triggers the flow and then the flow cancels itself and fails.

I could probably rebuild it all from scratch, but that is really annoying

Can someone on the gum loop team reset the state on this flow so that the interface bug does not crash the whole flow?

Example run Gumloop | Automation Builder

As a result, my flow fails with this error at the first step each time

Hey @Dgdgdg! If you’re reporting an issue with a flow or an error in a run, please include the run link and make sure it’s shareable so we can take a look.

  1. Find your run link on the history page. Format: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?run_id={{your_run_id}}&workbook_id={{workbook_id}}

  2. Make it shareable by clicking “Share” → ‘Anyone with the link can view’ in the top-left corner of the flow screen.

  3. Provide details about the issue—more context helps us troubleshoot faster.

You can find your run history here: https://www.gumloop.com/history

Hey @Dgdgdg, thanks for sharing the details and sorry you’re running into this. It looks like when the interface was removed, the change didn’t fully save, which is why the flow is still trying to load it in the background.

You can use this updated workflow instead: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?workbook_id=mkRV6oDWxmzwwzWX6Rp23s. You shouldn’t face any issues if you use this version.

Give it a try and let us know if the issue comes back. We’ll make sure you’re unblocked.
