Im not sure if this has been mentioned before but i keep running into usecases where it would be very handy if i could turn on an option to allow anyone that goes to my interface to utilize it with my account credits.
This is how i think it could work. Within the Interface settings you could turn on this setting and configure it in a couple ways. I could gate it behind something like an email address, perhaps even a pay wall or something else or i could leave it un-gated. I could set how many times it can used in the event that it is gated.
Example: I could have the interface either be linked or embedded on my website. I could require someone to enter their email to utilize the interface to solve some problem and it would check how many times they have used the interface and if they still have some amount of uses available then it would work for them. if not it might show a message that they are out of uses.
There are a ton of use cases for different lead capture magnets or simple one time payment things that someone could build out with gumloop but it would require interfaces being utilized by those not signed in, in most cases.
Makes sense, we will definitely consider this in future versions of the interface. The way it works right now is that it requires a user ID and their credentials to run the flow. However, there are ways that we can refactor this in the future to allow anyone to run the workflow even if they are not signed in to Gumloop.
Yeah and another thought, if its an option in the interface setup menu, the builder could assign a “credit budget” so maybe it would notify them after its been used so many times or it just work at all anymore that way other people canylt use that interface more than what the creator has the credots for or wants to budget for.
For instance is if i have 100,000 credots in my account maybe i assign a budget of 10,000 a month. At 50% utiliziation i get notified, and again at 75% or so and then once 10,000 credits have been used through that interface that month it no longer functions.
The interface may or may not show how much of the budget is left.
This could be usefull for teams, where a company has one person building these workflows and a bunch of people use them on the team without having to worry about having their own account or sharing account credentials.
That makes sense. As a starting point, a general credit utilization notification would be generally useful for all users. I think we could definitely add that in the near term.
