OpenAI Rate Limit error for Ask AI node using Grok 4

Getting the following error for an Ask AI node in my flow that is using Grok 4 model:

"Rate Limited by OpenAI, waiting for 2.0 seconds before trying again
OpenAI API Key appears to be rejected, please make sure to create PAID account at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys (https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys)
Rate Limited by OpenAI, waiting for 4.0 seconds before trying again
Rate Limited by OpenAI, waiting for 8.0 seconds before trying again
Rate Limited by OpenAI, waiting for 16.0 seconds before trying again
Ask AI Failed!”

I have Ask AI nodes that use GPT-5.2, Opus 4.5, and Gemini 3 pro that are all working fine. Just running into an error for this Grok 4 node.

And I’m confused why it is showing an OpenAI error for a node using Grok? Unless the error is for the next node in the flow that uses GPT-5.2 again.

Please advise.

Hi @jts_14,

Thanks for reporting this issue. It has now been resolved. The underlying problem was a Grok rate limit, but the error message was incorrectly displayed.

Your workflow should run successfully now. I’ve also refunded the credits used during the failed runs.

Please try rerunning it and let us know if you experience any further issues.

Hey @Rithen_Gumloop , I am now running into an Anthropic rate limit error for my node using Opus 4.5.

”e[31m Ask AI Failed!
Anthropic API request token per-minute rate limit exceeded. Please reduce the prompt length or the maximum tokens requested, or try again later.e[0m]”

Run IDs: Gumloop | Automation Builder , Gumloop | Automation Builder

Please advise. Thanks

Hey @jts_14,

We did run into some transient rate-limit issues with Opus 4.5 due to unusually high traffic. This should now be resolved.

Could you please try running the workflow again? If you continue to see issues, temporarily switching to another model should also work.

Apologies for the inconvenience here, and thanks for your patience.
