Seeking Automation Solutions for Metal Fabrication Contractor Processes

Hello, I’m looking to automate several repetitive tasks at GOPELIA Metalworks to enhance our operational efficiency. We have a few specific needs:

  1. Automated File Renaming: A bot that automatically renames PDF files based on the construction document sheet name, typically found in the bottom corner of the file. This should apply to all unrenamed sheets in a specific folder.

  2. Warranty Information Automation: Automatically fill out warranty information using a template (or create a new one) upon project completion, triggered by the receipt of the final release of lien.

  3. Automated Releases of Lien: Fill out and send releases of lien automatically to facilitate quicker payment processes.

  4. Automated Project Contact Information Requests: Send an email to clients with a standardized template to request project contact information (superintendent, accountant, manager) each time a project is approved in our Knowify construction management software.

Could anyone assist with setting up these automations or guide me on the best practices for implementing these workflows? Thank you!

Hey @Carl_Fuentes! If you’re reporting an issue with a flow or an error in a run, please include the run link and make sure it’s shareable so we can take a look.

  1. Find your run link on the history page. Format: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?run_id={{your_run_id}}&workbook_id={{workbook_id}}

  2. Make it shareable by clicking “Share” → ‘Anyone with the link can view’ in the top-left corner of the flow screen.

  3. Provide details about the issue—more context helps us troubleshoot faster.

You can find your run history here: https://www.gumloop.com/history
