One of my flows relied on SMS sending a notification to my clients. This stopped working a few months back and after trying over and over I noticed a small call out on the node that says this doesn’t work in North America temporarily?
Did I miss a notification explaining this change? This led to frustrations with a client and it would have been nice to know something was coming and or that it changed.
Any background context on why this doesn’t work?
Any forecast to when this will work again?
Any suggested routes to get SMS working again for someone located in North America?

Hey @zdorsch – Yes, that’s correct – the node doesn’t currently work in North America. We did send a notification about this change, but I can double check if your email was missed in the sprint. If it was, I sincerely apologize. We always aim to make sure any breaking changes are communicated directly or within the platform.
For context, the service provider we were using is no longer available, so we need to switch to another provider specifically for North America. The node is still functional elsewhere, but until we integrate with a new provider, it won’t work in this region.
We do plan to integrate with Twilio, which should resolve this issue. In the meantime, the best option is to use a custom node with Twilio. You can use your own Twilio account and call their API with your API key. If you’d like, I’d be happy to help you set up the custom node so you can get SMS working again.
