Howdy, I have a publicly accessible gumloop interface that triggers a flow which includes a google sheets writer. I have used this flow successfully for the past few months. My colleagues would access the interface and login using their own Gumloop accounts. Even though they were submitting from their own Gumloop accounts, my google sheets credentials were used within the gumloop flow.
Yesterday, my colleagues began reporting that they were being asked to link their credentials in order to submit the form.
Is this expected behaviour or would it be possible to revert to how it was before wherein my logged in Gumloop colleagues would submit my interface form while still using my linked credentials in the pipeline itself.
The form details I can share via DMs, I would not want to share it publicly.
Hey @michael4789! If you’re reporting an issue with a flow or an error in a run, please include the run link and make sure it’s shareable so we can take a look.
Find your run link on the history page. Format: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?run_id={{your_run_id}}&workbook_id={{workbook_id}}
Make it shareable by clicking “Share” → ‘Anyone with the link can view’ in the top-left corner of the flow screen.
Provide details about the issue—more context helps us troubleshoot faster.
Hey @michael4789, totally get the confusion. This is actually expected behavior in Gumloop.
Whenever a flow includes service nodes like Google Sheets, Gmail, or Slack, Gumloop runs it using the credentials of the person submitting and running the flow, not the person who built the flow.
It likely worked fine before because your teammates had already connected their credentials. This is a one-time step, and once it’s done, they won’t be asked again unless they revoke access.
As long as they already have access to your Google Sheet, the data will still go through without any issues — so nothing to worry about there.
Hope that clears things up. Let me know if you need help with anything else.
