The input box does not appear when I connect nodes

Hey @Andy1! If you’re reporting an issue with a flow or an error in a run, please include the run link and make sure it’s shareable so we can take a look.

  1. Find your run link on the history page. Format: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?run_id={{your_run_id}}&workbook_id={{workbook_id}}

  2. Make it shareable by clicking “Share” → ‘Anyone with the link can view’ in the top-left corner of the flow screen.

  3. Provide details about the issue—more context helps us troubleshoot faster.

You can find your run history here: https://www.gumloop.com/history

Hey @Andy1 – You can simply drag the input tag from the side-menu when you hover over the connected node. Gumloop | Automation Builder - 19 April 2025 | Loom

if you’re looking to make other parameters as dynamic inputs you can do so under Configure Inputs when you hover over the node.

Hi Wasay, That’s the problem. When i hover over the connected node there is no side menu. I have tried to go through the guided tutorials and i can never get past the drag the out badge part.

Interesting. Can you try deleting and adding back the node? Also just to clarify you have to map the connection first and then the side-menu appears. If that’s still an issue would you be able to share a screen recording please?

Hi Wasay,
I have removed and added a few times. I have tried Edge and Chrome. I have disabled all add-ins.
Here is a Recording

Thank you @Andy1 for the recording. This is super weird, we’re looking into this. What device are you using by the way? Also, can you clear cookies and then sign-in again?

And just to confirm there are no accessibility settings on your Chrome browser correct?

Hi Wasay,
I cleared all cookies. Signed out (I am using Google creds) and back in. Still the same.
All accessibility features are off on edge and chrome.
I am using a surface:

Device name Surface Pro 7
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 24H2
Installed on ‎14/‎03/‎2025
OS build 26100.3775
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.66.0

I’m experiencing the same issue. I’m currently using a Surface Pro, and the input box doesn’t appear. I also checked on my iPhone and had the same problem. However, when I switched to my desktop, everything worked fine.

It seems this might be related to devices with touch capabilities. There appears to be a bug where the input box fails to display on touch-enabled devices.

Interesting. Thank you for the details. I created a ticket to investigate and fix this. Apologies for the trouble here.
