Not sure why my YouTube Transcript node is not working anymore. It keeps giving me the error “Get Youtube Transcript Failed!”
I’ve tried in with a couple different videos, both links work perfectly fine and have a transcription available on YouTube. I tried with both the manual trigger and my main trigger (a webhook) at different times.

Find your run link on the history page. Format: https://www.gumloop.com/pipeline?run_id={{your_run_id}}&workbook_id={{workbook_id}}
Make it shareable by clicking “Share” → ‘Anyone with the link can view’ in the top-left corner of the flow screen.

Hey @The_Weeblings, thank you for flagging this! We’re fetching the transcript directly from the YouTube API, but there are certain cases where a transcript just isn’t available, like with location restrictions, disabled subtitles, or content restrictions. I’ll go ahead and cut a ticket to investigate this, but if the API doesn’t return a transcript, there unfortunately isn’t much we can do on our end for error handling.
Hello, i have noticed this error as well. It is not just his flow. All of my workflows using the get transcript node,which were previously working fine, now do not work. Please elevate this issue as my product depends on this.
Hey just wanted to echo this thread. In attempts to troubleshoot my other workflows, I ran a single “Get Transcript” node using a video that was provided by the chatbot (Simon Sinek’s Ted talk that definitely has a publicly available trnascript" and received the same error
Hey all! We’re able to reproduce this issue, seems like Google added some restrictions to their YouTube API. We’re working on a fix and will keep you posted.
